Having not been today it appears from what I've read that we changed to a forward 2.Is it a coincidence that for one of the few games this season we've had less possession less corners and less goal attempts than our opponents? I know we can argue that the results are the same (and that's a worry) but surely the more play and chances you create will eventually bring results. So for me LJ should stick by his beliefs and sink or swim by them.Don't forget if a manager does well they get a new contract if they don't they get the sack like every other manager in this precarious game.Time for a few beers have a good weekend everyone.
Or maybe its not the change to two up front, but dropping our best striker to do so , which was the problem? I havent been either so I cant really say, but after the Bradford game I really was shocked to see Winnall out of the starting line up !
I think it's less to do with tactics, formations and even personnel than people think. It's the mentality - or lack of a winning one. Maybe these players are perhaps just too young and inexperienced to be burdened with the pressures of a promotion chasing campaign.
As spectators we seem to be feeding off crumbs the amount of attempts on goal and the amount on target are pitiful and have been for seasons. Seeing the ball passed/pissed around with in midfield for the sake of it is killing the spectacle. No matter which formation is played.
I don't think it's a coincidence, I just think you have your stats wrong. Did you read this thread that was posted last week? http://bbs.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showth...eague-stats-for-Barnsley-and-rest-of-division
