First half was awful second was an improvement but the game was already lost. We couldn't score in a brothel at the moment.
We didn't have a shot until the 43rd minute when Dawson dragged one wide. Shame really cos we started with a bit of promise without looking like we were going to trouble them too much. The first goal came from the midfield going missing and leaving us exposed at the back. Decent finish from their lad, but he should have never been given the opportunity. The 2nd was a soft penalty, and we'd all but given up by the time O'Brien gifted them the third. Cywka and Mellis gave us a little bit more life when they were introduced, as did Scotland, who actually found the net when he deflected a wayward Kennedy shot into the net, although I think the lino made the right call for offside. The problem was though, their keeper was comfortable all game, barring one Cywka freekick which nearly crept in at the near post from the left hand side of the box. Pedersen fired a couple of shots straight at him, Dawson a couple wide, and Cywka hit a free kick over. Poor game, 2nd half performance warranted a draw, first half warranted a mullering.
First half was embarrasing midfield wise, defense wasnt that bad though. Second half Birmingham were going for a clean sheet rather than a goal, we played with no real tempo and disjointed.
We wouldn't have scored if we were played until Monday, against a side that started the game only marginally above us in the table after presumably showing the same dire form all season as we have, and who packed up and got out their deck chairs in the second half. It was as bad as it gets.
most professional teams in the English ladder would have beaten us today, that side would struggle in League 1 and that is not an exaggeration.
