That hand ball - probably not. The defenders didn't seem to be doing any appealing did they? It LOOKED like hand ball but I suspect he just got lucky with a little flick header that wrong footed our defence. They took both of their goals very well, but we took our FOUR superbly. Templeton - what a technique - and don't forget he started it himself with a strong challenge in our half before setting off, outpacing their defender. Pearson's back heel nearly messed it up, but Matty latched on to a ball he had no right to score from. Brilliant stuff and hopefully more to come from him.
Nothing could be done about their first goal, but conceeding with their first on target effort of the match was disapointing. A couple of goals like their second and a couple of ours the keepers could have done better with.
Harsh on Pearson. It was his pace that got him to the ball first to set up the chance. It was a nice flick that went straight to Templeton.
I wasn't criticising him. He had a terrific game. All I meant was that it was a clumsy back heel which could have gone wrong. It worked though and gave Matty the chance to finish off the great move that he had started
