...distinctly below par again. That said though we had enough chances second half to win three games. Lets hope this is our bad patch as not too much damage has been done yet. In my opinion we need Mcphail back quickly as creativity in this area is none existant without him and as almost everyone else is saying we've got to get another centre half, preferably one who plays more games than he misses !
Ratings today..
Colgan 7 - did the little that he had to do with efficiency, back 4 looks more composed with him there.
Tonge 8 - outstanding today, never missed a tackle.
Williams 6 - very shaky early on but improved, too slow for my liking.
Reid 7 - good today I thought, back to his reliable self. An injury due soon methinks !
Austin 7 - excellent today & tenacious as ever. If he was four inches taller he would be the answer.
Shuker 6 - looked dangerous in patches but things not going for him at present.
Devaney 5 - poor again today. Is he carrying an injury or has the hype gone to his head ?
Burns 7 - back to early season best, held midfield together (just).
Wroe 5 - surely on his way out come May. Can't pass, can't tackle, can't shoot ...nuff said.
Wright 7 - don't go with the slagging he's got on this board. Ok he missed a hat trick of chances but let him settle. I think he showed some promise, good in the air, aggressive, good movement and also another bonus was he has pace, seems to time his runs well and stay onside !
Nardiello 5 - I want to stick up for the guy cos he's the only true finisher we have. But christ his movement & workrate are non existent. If you were a striker how could you play alongside this guy ? Needs an almighty kick up the arse !
Hayes 6 - beginning to warm to him after slagging him most of the season. His vision & skill made a difference today, but that chance was a sitter. Not to hit the target from 8 yards out was criminal.
Howard 6 - at least tried to put his foot on the ball and pass it, ok today.
Richards 6 - plenty of aggression as always, but not worth an 18 month contract for me.

In a nutshell need to get back to winning ways quickly. Its very tight, could be any six from a dozen at the moment. Also don't rule out Bristol City or Tranmere yet and they were in the bottom four a fortnight since !

In fairness mate..

Wright hasn't had a slagging. There was a thread earlier which was meant as a joke, the rest has been positive.

I feel cheated out of £18 watching Nicky Wroe in centre of park today. He didn't have a clue what to do with the ball. Embarrasing performance, Shocking. :-|

I agree with what you've said about Tommy Wright. He won nearly everything that came to him in the air, and his flick on's started afew decent moves.

Wroe 3
Austin 8

Think Wroe was coming off for Kell but disco went down

and was replaced by Howard. After that richtea was reluctant to risk kell in midfield in case he did not finish the game and leave us without options.

Wroe is simply not good enough though. We should get shut in my considered opinion.
