Barnsley FC Manager: Simon Davey
Next away match: QPR Saturday 19th September

**** hot rob, fecking **** hot

I buy them as I collect them. I get the impression that all these inrterviews with the players etc. are ghos twritten as they all have the sam boring format. If I wasn't a collector I wouldn't bother.
All the Interviews done with players/management staff etc are on Barnsley Player anyway. Almost all of them will be found on the official site. Fair enough if folk collect them but at £3 are they now? Totally unjusitified for that price. Even the images from the previous home/away game are found on Barnsleyfc.co.uk.
Yes £3 - same as last year. Looking round I don't think many people are buying them - understandably.
Yeah every player interview says the same sort of things. Praise the manager, say results need to improve, fans to get behind us etc. You know what you are going to read before you do.
Think I've only missed one programme over 30 years of watching football - don't mind them - then again don't spend the time playing spot the mistake!!
Other teams programmes are much better, going to more aways than homes, as I do, usually get one just to pick up stuff about the other teams in our league. They all tend to be £3 and Derby's was like a telephone directory, well weighty.
FAO ROB stating that there were errors in the programme is not maintaining a "libellous stance", it is called pointing out an error in a publication that I paid for. Dear rob unless your name is 'todays programme' then I fail to see how this post was a "character assassination". Also dear rob, being abusive towards your customers will not win you many friends. Dear rob you say that you "fail to note any constructive criticism or ideas and suggestions amongst your abuse" so presumably you failed to see the numerous posts in the past where I have said that I think stretching you to your limits is not fair on you and that if you were allowed to concentrate on one project or possibly even two then you would be able to produce a higher quality instead of having to cut corners. You may have missed my suggestions for you to use a spellchecker before uploading stories, I find this suggestion to be most constructive as a spellchecker will identify spelling mistakes within a matter of seconds and will then allow you to upload news stories to the website error free. In case you missed my suggestion to approach your bosses and request that they look into the possibility of getting somebody in on work experience from barnsley college to take some of your workload off you then I will suggest it again. A work experience lad doing journalism at college could help you with the site or programme and would enable you to concentrate on the one thing rather than having to do the programme, website, be head of media and press relations etc etc. You could even ask the bloke with the desk near yours who runs a rival website if he could help, he does afterall have access to the inner workings of the club. As we both know that the graphics element of the website are not your strong point (no shame in that at all) you could ask if the club could get someone from college to knock up a few wallpapers or other graphics for the website which would be mutually beneficial as you would get the graphics to enhance your site and they would gain experience and something to add to their portfolio. Constructive criticism and suggestions HAVE been made in the past, not just by me but by quite a few of your CUSTOMERS. If you choose to ignore them then that is upto you but as we are CUSTOMERS you really have to expect complaints when the product that you supply falls short of expectations. That is the nature of business
Actually hemsworth-tyke I hadnt even looked at my programme yesterday when I heard 3 people (no i'm not exaggerating) saying that it was 'fecking ****', 'a joke' and 'i bet that makes robins feel right fecking special that does'. So I would guess that I'm not the only one who wasn't happy with the programme yesterday. Three people before I opened mine noticed it and weren't impressed, I looked at the back of mine and noticed it straight away (I also noticed the omission of various players names), I heard the person sat in front of me complain to his wife about it and then at half time I was talking to a group when one person in the group mentioned it (no not me) and pretty much all of the rest said 'whoever writes that wants sacking'. You'll also notice that there are a selection of people on this board complaining about it and the quality of programme today and yesterday so I fail to see why it is my post and only my post that is moaning. If enough people are unhappy with a product then maybe you have to look at the product and go '****, maybe its not good enough'
Your suggestions... Why not make your suggestions to Rob face to face. You have been invited down to Oakwell (again) to share your constructive criticism why not do so? Full text of email Rob asked me to pass on (Can't see where he abused you by the way):
He must work in quality control Nowt against Supertyke, but he certainly comes across as being over pedantic about most things!
