Steele, Hassell, Kozluk, Howard, Nardiello, Ferenczi, De Silva, Foster, Souza, Devaney, Leon. Subs: Nyatanga, Odejayi, Campbell-Ryce, Macken, Van Homoet.
RE: Surprised Macken isnt starting.. nt The strongest side would always be one with Macken in it and we should always pick the strongest side from the players available. Didn't think Davey was the sentimental sort to pick a side purely and simply to reward a previous win. Unless Macken is not fully fit.
Davey's said that he stands by his belief that a substitute goalkeeper is a waste of a substitute 99% of the time and won't be changing his policy.
very surprised thought Maken was a cert. still its good for the morale of Hassell, Ferenczi, Steele etc and perhaps they do deserve a start
RE: That side he's putting out beat Liverpool at Anfield... Because we couldn't put our strongest side out at Anfield. We got away with it there, doesn't mean we're going to get away with it today when there were stronger options.
I don't think he can be criticised for it. The players probably did deserve to start the next game after that win.i
I'd have played Macken - but he'll be back in on Tuesday anyway as Nardiello is unavailable. But its right, the lads won at Anfield and if that doesn't keep your place, nothing much will.

He is correct It is a waste 99% of the time. However, for most of the past few league games he has named 3 strikers on the bench. That is a waste 100% of the time and therefore defeats his own argument.
Nyatanga & Macken are 2 of our best players - FACT! How they are not starting is beyond me. With Howard one yellow away from missing our 2 biggest games of the season, I'd have sat him in the Full House with £50 and told him to wait there till we come back! Move Leon into the middle, put Nads out wide and Macken up front.
