Not on bench today.

Davey doesn't know what he's doing. Is it 14 players in now ? And no improvement. Relegation and renewed financial problems await.

Over 2 goals per game conceded. No secret where the problems lie and he quite simply has not addressed them.

    Quite simply not good enough.

No Dave. Went to Newcastle, and if Simon Davey can pick and choose which games he wants to focus on then so can I.

If you have been I suppose you are more entitled to that opinion than I am of mine. But I believe that it's far too early in the season to judge. Once upon a time league tables were not displayed until 5 or 6 games into the season. Nowadays you only have to see the "crisis" at Spurs and Man Utd after a couple of games before people start to panic. I know it's a cliché but it's a marathon, not a sprint.

Too many new players to judge so early into their Barnsley careers - especially when most have come from a different country. It's not like you to jump on the criticism bandwagon so early in the season. Please allow some time for the dust to settle.

wasn't having a go mate, I haven't been either, I just wanted the opinion of someone who has been.

    Agree 100% about Togwell though.

Whether you've been or not has no bearing on validity of anyone's opinion.

Of course individuals take time to settle. But this manager has pursued a scorched earth policy towards last years squad replacing every player potentially and so far has produced no improvement. I hope I'm proved totally wrong and as quickly as possible.

In my opinion mate, we have improved. I think we have a much better playing staff than this time last year. I am much more confident in staying up this season compared to last. I too hope you are proved wrong, and i'm proved right - but NOT to say I told you so. Whatever happens, we all want the best for our club. It's just some people expect miracles overnight (and i'm not swiping at you with that comment either ;-)

He has not brought in a decent commanding centre half

One that scares the fforwards, one that leads from the front(well back), He said he knew what the problems were , but he has not done anything to put them right.
We are still conceding goals at a rate that cannot be allowed to continue, last year we were at least scoring some goals as well. Not one goals by a new striker this season in the league. If we wanted a striker that worked hard but did not score we could have kept Richards.

    That's THE point

There is not much between them, so it must be a tough choice for Davey. Both will get their chance this season

Then WHY BUY someone that doe not improve the team.

We were supposed to be improving the team that only just stayed in this league last season.

aye but Togwell isn't one of SD's signings, I don't think he'll get a fair crack of the whip.

    Time will Tell

He did hand him an new contract though.

If Davey doesn't give Togwell a chance I will be Most disapointed with Davey.

I don't reckon Johnson is going to Play every game though at 33. Toggers will get his chance.
