.... by site Administrator Andytyke-- wow. Why? Because I posted a message supporting the Club on their stance on admitting under 5's to Oakwell. I am of the opinion that it is too much to expect a three year old to sit for 90 minutes. (I never took any of my children to a match until they were six and even then they got bored.) However I accept others may have differing views and have no problem with them expressing their view. Should our administrators really be so judgemental of our postings?
It's too much to expect half of the arseholes in the top corner of the ponty end to sit still for 90 minutes but the Don happily sells season tickets to them. Isn't it just as hard to expect under five's to sit still for 90 minutes if these children happen to be the offspring of our players or even manager? The Don allows them in. One rule for the paying customer, another for the pampered players.
So Admin guys not allowed an opinion? Would you have posted equivalent if he had clicked like and agreed with you?
its all down to people getting free season tickets and not using them, then that un used seat can not be sold, it would be uproar on here if we sold out for a game but there where 2000 empty seats, leeds & wednesday at home will be in high demand this season and people will be paying good money for seats that are ***** and good seats will be empty i think thats the reason behind it
People get seats for 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 year olds and don't use those either, it's not just under 5's. In fact I know of three people who have in the past got free season tickets for their kids but then hardly ever took them to the games. All three were over five.
If that is truly the reason then I believe it is frankly pathetic that when on any given matchday we have between 12 and 15,000 empty seats the club are turning away potential future fans just in case they don't turn up and leave their seat empty along with the thousands and thousands of others. If that is what is happening then the club are once again showing that they have absolutely no ability to manage a situation correctly. An alternative approach that doesn't ban customers and alienate future supporters would be that when any season ticket holder takes up the free season ticket they are asked that on rare occasions throughout the season (ok maybe once every 3 years) there will be high demand for tickets and the club requests that anyone with a free season ticket who doesn't intend to use the ticket for that particular game could call a number to inform the club of this allowing them to sell the ticket again. They get their seat back for that one match in 70 and the kids get their season ticket, and possibly their shirt and programme and pie, and drink and scarf etc. They could even extend the request to ALL season tickets. For the high demand matches anybody unable to use their ticket is requested to inform the club that they cant (and hand the ticket in the game before maybe?) allowing the seats to be resold. The fan doesn't have to do it but i'm sure a few would and a few is more than none. Or we can just go around banning people, refusing to sell tickets to future supporters and making up a **** and bull story about health and safety whilst allowing players to take their kids.
yes Admin Guys can express their opinion but telling someone to 'shut the f**k up' is not expressing an opinion.
You are aware that Andytyke considers the stfu button to be a light hearted joke not to be taken seriously aren't you?
If i am not on the receiving end of at least one "stfu" in a day i get very upset. See it as a reward rather than a punishment.
You can say anything you want, then just claim you were saying it sarcastically, It works for John Terry!!
To me, the fact of being under 5 or under 95 is irrelevant. It's the manner in which someone is treated and 'spoken' to for expressing a view. I have my own views about little kids being allowed in/given season tickets etc but they are my views and I shouldnt be lampooned for having them if I state them reasonably... Regardless of whether we feel the club did the right thing or not we should all be treated with respect should we not?
