Kent is apparently going to be given the chance at Liverpool over the next few weeks in pre season. We are also apparently getting sick of waiting around for Bradshaw which makes me think he's talking to somebody else. Just listened to Mark Warburton and he expects two more signings this week at Rangers. Bradshaw could well be one of them.
I dont think its the end of the world regarding Bradshaw. Walsall are over pricing him, he definitely isnt worth paying anywhere near £1 million for. Theres a reason he's linked with Rotherham, Barnsley and the Scottish League. His hamstring is also a ticking time bomb. We already have a striker with than issue. having two is pushing your luck.
I saw all 4 games against Walsall last season and I was pretty unimpressed with Bradshaw. I expected more than I saw. He clearly has a talent for scoring goals but doesn't impose himself on the opposition in the way Fletcher did. I think we need someone more of that type.
Sick of waiting around?????????? Sure it isn't Walsall sick of waiting for us to make a half decent offer
Agreed. A dynamic forward is what we need. Fletcher has the lot. Quick, strong, tall, hard working, great first touch and can dribble and finish. He's the perfect striker for me.
I second that. I can see us getting him on loan to be honest. Fletcher,Winnall,Bradshaw n Jinty would do me just fine
£1m is an absolute steal for such a young, proven goalscorer. Id expect you'd be looking closer to 3m if he had more time on his contract. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I dont think it's a steal at all. We dont have £1 million to just chuck around on players who might be good enough.
I dont think Sam Winnall is worth any near that. We'd do well to get £1.2m in the last year of his contract.
I'd say Sam is worth abit more. Around a million i'd sell him. Bradshaw nearer the 750k mark. Neither have a record of doing anything at championship level. Sam has been more consistant in the lower leagues, but Bradshaw has longer left on his contract. Sam had the triple success last year of a cup, promotion and being top scorer. Not much in them really.
So you think Winnall is worth £1.2m but £1m for Bradshaw is way over the top? Jesus Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Did you not read what I said? I said we'd do well to get £1.2 million for Winnall. That being the maximum. We're in a higher division than Walsall. We get much higher gates and have a far greater income. We have a sell on clause for John Stones which should bring us in a minimum of £4 million. We're in a much better position than Walsall for running a players contract out who may be worth a significant amount. They might not have another player for years who they can sell for 600k plus. We have have 4-5 atleast. Personally I would say Sam Winnall at this moment in time in the last year of his contract and baring in mind we paid 150K it would be good business to get 900K for him. I would say Bradshaw is worth no more than a bid of 600K. Unless you've got money to burn.
What has their attendances and other players got to do with how much they should be asking for Bradshaw? He's younger than Winnall and scored more than him over last 2 seasons. They also have a big sell on fee for Troy Deeney. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's got a lot to do with it. A club like Walsall can't afford to let Bradshaws contract run down. They need some value out of him. They can ask for £1 million all they like but no one will pay that. Do you not understand that it's about what a club will pay, not what a club is asking for? Especially when a contract is in its final year. It's clear to anyone that we're in a better position than Walsall to either let the contract run down or ask for a greater fee for our top scorer. Tom Bradshaw will go for no where near £1 million unless someone is really desperate. Walsall will be more desperate to sell before that happens. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sorry but how on earth do you know what Walsall's finances and priorities are? Are they in significant debt? Not as far as I'm aware. Winnall is in his last year too, say Derby wanted him and their fans said we should sell him for £500k cos we only average 10,000 a week what would you say? And no, it 100% is definitely not what someone will pay, its what the selling club will accept. Basic negotiating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rotherham have been priced out of a move for Lee Gregory and are moving onto other targets. I expect Bradshaw will be one of them.
A players value is what a club is willing to pay. If Derby offered that I'd hope the club would reject it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
