...will really have to suspend disbelief to play the 6'5", 260lb+ Jack Reacher. Bizarre Hollywood casting. Although I am looking forward to Sir Ian McKellan's stint as Deadpool.
Some of my favourite books, the Jack Reacher stories. In my head I never imagined him to look like a smiling dwarf !!
I've read a few of them. Given he often uses his size and stature to intimidate people, I can only assume the film will have him pitted against Mimi-me from Austin Powers.
Does this sound like Tom Cruise to you ? Physical appearance Reacher is 6' 5" tall (1.96m) with a 50-inch chest, and weighing between 210 and 250 pounds (100–115 kg). He has ice-blue eyes and dirty blond hair. He has very little body fat, and his muscular physique is completely natural (he reveals in Persuader, he has never been an exercise enthusiast). He is exceptionally strong, has a high stamina, but is not a good runner.[9] Reacher's strength is combined with his savant intellect and military training, analyzing his environment and opponents at extremely high processing speeds. Reacher has various scars, most notably a scar on his abdomen caused by a bombing in Lebanon.[10] He also has a 3–4 inch thin white scar that intersects his shrapnel scar that he received during a knife fight in Gone Tomorrow. Reacher mentions how the rough stitch work from his existing scar helped decrease the severity of his most recent attack. The cut did produce a deep, serious gash that led to Reacher passing out from blood loss.[11] He also has a scar on his chest from a .38 bullet,[12] a tear drop burn scar from close range gunshot that crossed his chest at point blank range,[13] and one on his arm where his brother struck him with a chisel in his youth.[14]
Its a little known fact that Reacher actually travelled everywhere with a milk crate and always appeared stood behind something so nobody could see his feet.
What makes it worse, he is a Private Detective in the film, so the whole story line has been fooked with.
