My best friend plays for Colchester and he's told me that we've shown an interest for their centre half Tom Eastman. I watched him in the game against Preston and he looked a right player. He's under contract and was nominated for the League One player of the month back in January, but he would require a fee, probably in the region of £100,000.
A product of the Ipswich academy, 23 years old, played over 150 games for Colchester, 6 foot 3. Sounds promising.
I don't know if the lad will be available or come to us. Imagine he would if no bigger clubs interested but I've heard a lot of good things about him. Not sure I've ever seen him though so can't comment. Certainly sounds like a bloody good buy.
