    Do we still want him?

Waring the better player for me.

    He looked far from infallible.

Winnall coming back Waring seems to be a good prospect.. for me other areas would be better looked at.

Waring played well but come on, can't compare him to Tom Pope overall.

Wasn't impressed with him today but he's been injured and looked overweight. Once he he's back to his fitness, he'll be running defences ragged again. Much rather have Pope

Was poor today, but you can't form an opinion based on one game.

I suppose the same could be said for Waring too. APeople had written him off after the Doncaster game. I've seen him twice now and been very impressed both times.

Only time I noticed him all afternoon was when he was proper having a go at his team mate for the second goal before the restart and looked like he was telling him to F off off the pitch. Don't worry Popey you can play for us tuesday night if you want :)

I get a bit of a Mark Stallard feeling about this Tom Pope signing. Just dont think he's for us.

I enjoyed him shouting "**** off" early in the first half, and to be fair he beat BFJ in the air plenty of times. Not sure I'd want him here while Waring is. George put in an incredible shift today and deserved to be man of the match. Although I think Lalkovic would have been mine had he not been subbed off.

Which highlights the vital question......which one are we likely to secure............Waring or Pope ?

And from this..........why bring in young loan players that we aint a cat in hells chance of signing

Its great that we are building a young team...........but why bring young loan players in that you KNOW that we haven't got the money to sign

Just does not make sense to me

Think Ill float this as a new thread

Pope was clearly lacking fitness coming back from a long term injury so it's hard to judge. Beat our defenders in the air everytime without even trying in the second half and should have won a penalty when he was kicked in the mush. Waring was excellent throughout though it's a shame he couldn't get a goal.

Great goal scoring record at this level. Physical presence gave ramage and mvoto a tough afternoon. He coordinated forward line talking all the time.

His experience could be key in final third. Waring played well but is not our player, and we have no one else who can play that role. Pope is tried and tested at this level.
