Bristol Post says John Pemberton staying on at Bristol City as Assistant Head Coach.

Maybe that was part of the deal.

If so it looks like Tommy could well be staying put at Oakwell.

But what about the summer recruitment? It could be a big rebuild again.

I think Tommy will be gone in a week or so. Managers tend to take their right-hand men with them. Once LJ has got his little legs dangling under the desk at Bristol, he'll come in for him. Pemberton staying on there doesn't mind they wouldn't find him a role.

If he comes in for him I genuinely believe he won't want to go. Here he's got a great chance of getting a promotion and trophy on his CV this season as our permanent head coach with a payrise if we keep winning to make it harder for him not to get it. To give that up to move a few hundred miles away to work alongside Pemberton at helping Johnson out doesn't compare.

Wasn't Wright already at Oldham when Johnson moved there, suggests he might want to stay in the area?

Lives in Wakefield, I believe, no doubt stemming from when his playing days at Leeds.
