Tomorrow I'll be watching Auckland City FC play at home against Youngheart Manawatu and paying NZ$3 entry (£1.35). It's their last game before jetting off to Tokyo to represent Oceania to take on the champions of Japan in the Toyota Stadium, part of the Fifa Club World Cup which includes teams like Barcelona. 2 of the players tomorrow for ACFC played in the World Cup in South Africa so the standard is pretty good.

And the best bits, there's a beer tent behind the nets and you can go have a drink with the team after the match. Plus the 'away' end has no stand, it backs onto people gardens, there's one bloke that sits in his garden with his bin upside down whacking it with a stick like its a drum to create a bit of atmosphere.

If we beats Leeds tomorrow I'll proudly be wearing my new BFC shirt, if we don't I'll proudly be wearing my ACFC shirt.

So that's how the other half live!

(still rather be at Elland Rd like!)

Rory Fallon played in the world cup though so that's a fairly **** comparison!

Not only did he play in the WC, he got them to the World Cup with a goal against Bahrain! National treasure.

I'll be paying 27 times less money to watch football this weekend, just thought I'd post it on here as ticket prices seem to be popular subject.

Your away day won't come close to our Peterbro away day, the life, weather, beaches etc are way better over there but one thing that isn't is their football. Where we're you last week with the Pikey photoshops we needed the old ones!

Yeah he's still playing for them/us.

Some of the squad aren't full time, they have proper jobs even so the standard is pretty good and knowing that they're average joes it takes that bitterness I have towards pro footballers away.

The All Whites didn't lose a match at the last world cup, and if it hadn't been for some VERY dodgy refereeing they would have beaten Italy. England on the other hand!

As much as it pains the locals and knowing they'll never admit it the English Football is big out here, the results always make national news. It's not as rugby mad as they'll have you believe.

Wellington Pheonix who play in the Aussie League played last Saturday at Eden Park (RWC stadium). The second only ever football match to be played there, it's their main Rugby ground. There's some rivalry between Auckland and Wellington so having another cities team play up here is strange, even so 20,000 turned up and due to bad planning 1000's couldn't get in as they don't have turnstiles and rely on a ticket office. The last time Aucklands Rugby Union side played there, the Blues who are full of All Blacks they played an Aussie side in a semi final. It was a pretty big match and some of the top players in the world play for em, they got 17,000.

    Rugby Mad my arse.

The old Donny pics are still online, still sat in my photo bucket account.
