RE: the way we squander games they mean nowt Yeah but Norwich can't be ahead of us on points, so they won't have 'points in the bag' as you put it compared to our games in hand.
Fact is though mate we are not very good, apart from the qpr game we have been shocking at home for some time. We are smack bang in the middle of a relegation fight and i dont fancy us to get out of it. The next two games are key we need at least 3 points.
I'm very disappointed with how we're doing Don't get me wrong. I think we should be mid-table with the players we've got. But I think we'll stay up. Whether that's good enough is another debate.
I don't really care about Norwich TBH ...BUT I get your drift. I am very unimpressed with our performance this year. I think I am correct in saying that Mr Cryne sent out the impression that a mid table finish was what was required of Mr Davey this term.I honestly cannot see that occuring. If we just scrape out of relegation now, then we will be lucky. I accept that continuity is a good thing, but at what cost. This is now 3 consecutive seasons we have had to endure a relegation dog fight. Its wearing a bit thin now.Granted Simon took on the remains of Andy Richies side, but now its all his choosing and has been mostly so a good deal of time....nothing has improved in the league standings..if anything its deteriorated.
RE: I don't really care about Norwich TBH ...BUT I have always given SD a chance, but I am beginning to wonder. With the squad he has assembled we should be further up the league, but we aren't. I am beginning to think that maybe another man could come in and do a better job with SD's squad. He needs to forget about this crusade he has got against playing a 442. We have now got the strikers who could do a great job for us if they get the right service but we aren't playing in a way to create that many. With Hammill and JCR in the team it is screaming out for a 442. He has done a good job in stabilising the club as a Championship club but the progression has stopped. If we don't get to 55 points then PC needs to consider a replacement. But I don't think he will. I don't even think he would sack him if we get relegated.
his hand may be forced if that occurs season ticket sales would plummet IMHO. Patrick may not know football too well....but he does know business. Falling sales would or should set alarm bells ringing in a businessmans head...I think Alan Sugar would have given Simon the bullet ages ago had he been at the helm.
RE: his hand may be forced if that occurs I am not sure a change of manager would make much difference if we did drop to L1. We would be playing in front of 7500 regardless. And SD might have a better chance of keeping most of the squad together to get back up. Change the manager and players might want to leave when otherwise they would maybe stay for a season. Stability. Personally I think you need a change after a relegation, but it does worry me that the squad might dissolve entirely, although I would expect a few to leave even under SD. Also, if PC wants to change the manager he has big compensation to pay.
good points , but on saying that... I suppose you caqn argue that Scnuthorpe have kept the manager after their relegation of last season. They are in a good position for the play-offs.
