Thommo's a very good center forward. Takes a battering every game, holds the ball up well and is completely unselfish in and around the box.

Trouble is, he's only scored 6 goals for us and for a striker that's not good enough. I'd expect my midfielders to get around that many. Steve McPhail excepted, don't think he'll get to 6 if his career lasted 20 years.

Is he just a bad finisher then?

Or doesn't he get many chances?

    And McPhail, still impressed?

    Seems to get enough chances

so yes, he must be a poor finisher.

Got to say his all-round play is excellent and I for one will be gutted to see him go. It was very noticable how his contribution was missed when he didn't play and his work on Chops behalf is phenomenal.

Neede a run of goals and didn't get it.

He looked class on the first game of the season - thought he had genuine championship/lower prem quality. How much will he be available for?
