i am as gutted as anyone bout tonights performance from england. where was the passion from the players, i would bust a gut to playing for my country!! but im not gonna start saying ericsson out, because he WILL be in charge for the world cup in germany, so we have to keep faith in them.

Rooney gave his all, but Owen looks past it. Glen Johnson - evertime I've seen him, he's been woeful. David James - no caomment.

owen past his best?? no no way mate sorry dont agree with that one. glenn johsonn if he is worth 6 million then im worth 10 million, people knock gary neville but we are buggered when he retires. as for david james, he has had more chances than any player ever in the history of football, bleedin hell how he can be playing in the premiership yet alone england is beyond me..

OK, weell Owen hasn't much football so I'll take it back about him, however we seem to agree on Johnson and James. Neville's a *******, but he's consistent and reliable. Ashley Cole seems lightweight at times, and I've never rated Rio. Doubt we'll get past the last eight next year.

we still will do well in germany, i reckon cambell is better than rio anyway ive said that for last few years, and id sooner have campbell with terry in defence. as for ashley cole he played well seems to be gettin better with each game. also does anyone else think hargreaves is a poor player for england? ok he doesnt start and only comes off bench but i dont rate him

Hargreaves reminds me of Brendan O'Connel - headless chicken. Runs and runs, looks pretty on the ball but never scores or produces anything. Is it just me as well that feels Gerrard is always a let down for england.

i reckon gerrard would play better without beckham in the team, for me gerrard is a leader but beckham has that responsibility for england in midfield. i do think beckham has become is now past it, i await the responses from this, but i do, he comes out of position all the time trying to single handedly guide us to glory.

Beckham, with his desire to do well for the team is becoming a liability to England. His work rate and will to win is admirable, but he needs more discipline.

The one person that lets the England team down is....Sven....clueless....

i agree in a way, the amount of quality at our disposal we shouldnt be challenging the top teams we should BE the top team. i wish bobby robson had this squad to work with
