Barnsley were on Monday morning trying to complete the loan signing of keeper Bartosz Bialkowski from Southampton in time for him to play against West Brom.
The Tykes moved to sign him because David Preece suffered an ankle injury against QPR on Saturday.
Barnsley
• Barnsley have only managed one home point so far. It came after a goalless draw with Swansea in their last league game at Oakwell.
• They have the joint weakest defence in the Championship (with Ipswich), having conceded 19 goals in nine league matches.

West Bromwich Albion
• West Brom lost their unbeaten record to Crystal Palace on Saturday and failed to score for the first time this season. But they still boast the Championship's strongest attack, with 20 goals from nine matches.
• Albion have not suffered back-to-back defeats at Championship level since October 2007.
• Their away record is the best in the division; 10 points and no defeats, with 11 goals scored and four conceded.

So we have the best attack in the division, against the worst defence in the division, a team with only one point at home all season against the best away record in the division … and we've had to sign Southamptons second choice keeper because we don't have anyone fit at all …

I believe the phrase is .... oh bugger ...

 

Now if the roles were reversed, I'd be expecting Barnsley to get walloped....

 

So 2-0 to us, then. Nailed on.

I find it's best if you don't try to think about it too much.

 

Look at the we can't win at QPR for toffee scenario and let's hope this continues for WBA tonight.

I've gone for 0-0 in prediction for voucher but of course hope for a win. Plymouth and Ipswich both away then Ipswich on Satuday. Let's look to create a buffer. Ideally though Plymough draw and keep Peterborough down.

I said see where we were after ten games. If out of bottom three I would have taken that in July. By end-August I would have only dreamt about it but we have a chance.

 

you're right we really should get hammered tonight! although brom are missing key players too, luke moore, marek cech and chris brunt are all out and their fans seem to be very pessimistic saying they'll be v happy with a point which i was surprised at t say the least, i reckon it could be a very good match even if we get beat i think we'll give it a reet good go!

 

A clean sheet tonight seems very unlikely but ya never know.
