I always thought Tiger was brewed in Singapore? Chinese beer has always had funny names like Tsing-Tao, Mowsty-Tung, Chang etc Please advise? I am on a bottle of Grand Resevere Rioja 1998, just testing it out that the rest of the case will be ok for Chrimbo. It seems to be ok, but I'll carry on the test just to be sure.
been out this aft so tonight been a bottle a'' m /s '' finest reserve port well nearly strong stuff ....(seestars)
Me too but Brewed and Bottled by Hainan Asia Pacific Brewery China
Maybe the original stuff was from singapore..
Heres a bit of classic s due to word association football!
Singapore
We sail tonight for Singapore, we're all as mad as hatters here I've fallen for a tawny Moor, took off to the land of Nod Drank with all the Chinamen, walked the sewers of Paris I danced along a colored wind, dangled from a rope of sand You must say goodbye to me We sail tonight for Singapore, don't fall asleep while you're ashore Cross your heart and hope to die when you hear the children cry Let marrow bone and cleaver choose while making feet for children shoes Through the alley, back from hell, when you hear that steeple bell You must say goodbye to me Wipe him down with gasoline 'til his arms are hard and mean From now on boys this iron boat's your home So heave away, boys We sail tonight for Singapore, take your blankets from the floor Wash your mouth out by the door, the whole town's made of iron ore Every witness turns to steam, they all become Italian dreams Fill your pockets up with earth, get yourself a dollar's worth Away boys, away boys, heave away The captain is a one-armed dwarf, he's throwing dice along the wharf In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king, so take this ring We sail tonight for Singapore, we're all as mad as hatters here I've fallen for a tawny Moor, took off to the land of Nod Drank with all the Chinamen, walked the sewers of Paris I drank along a colored wind, I dangled from a rope of sand You must say goodbye to me Fecking classic stuff and massively underrated.

Good lyrics sounds like the Men They Couldn't Hang but probably isn't..they liked all that folklore/history stuff...Ironmasters / Australia / Industrial Town etc. Not sure about the stuff about a one armed drawf though, Dirk can be a bit touchy about stuff like that.

They had a thoroughly modern kitchen self-cleaning oven (the whole bit) Frank drove a little sedan they were so happy One night Frank was on his way home from work, stopped at the liquor store, picked up a couple Mickey's Big Mouths drank 'em in the car on his way to the Shell station, he got a gallon of gas in a can, drove home, doused everything in the house, torched it, parked across the street, laughing, watching it burn, all Halloween orange and chimney red then Frank put on a top forty station got on the Hollywood Freeway headed north Never could stand that dog

B & T for me! Just emptied the second supermarket shelf of the week of the stuff and will look for more tomorrow!
This is my fave

Time

Well the smart money's on Harlow and the moon is in the street And the shadow boys are breaking all the laws And you're east of East Saint Louis and the wind is making speeches And the rain sounds like a round of applause And Napoleon is weeping in a carnival saloon His invisible fiancee's in the mirror And the band is going home, it's raining hammers, it's raining nails And it's true there's nothing left for him down here And it's time time time, and it's time time time And it's time time time that you love And it's time time time And they all pretend they're orphans and their memory's like a train You can see it getting smaller as it pulls away And the things you can't remember tell the things you can't forget That history puts a saint in every dream Well she said she'd stick around until the bandages came off But these mama's boys just don't know when to quit And Mathilda asks the sailors "Are those dreams or are those prayers?" So close your eyes, son, and this won't hurt a bit Oh it's time time time, and it's time time time And it's time time time that you love And it's time time time Well things are pretty lousy for a calendar girl The boys just dive right off the cars and splash into the street And when they're on a roll she pulls a razor from her boot And a thousand pigeons fall around her feet So put a candle in the window and a kiss upon his lips As the dish outside the window fills with rain Just like a stranger with the weeds in your heart And pay the fiddler off 'til I come back again Oh it's time time time, and it's time time time And it's time time time that you love And it's time time time And it's time time time, and it's time time time And it's time time time that you love And it's time time time
