RE: Bishop's Finger, Guinness, Southern Comfort & Jim Beam... Tried that BF, and it tastes like crap...each to their own i guess.
Devoid of beer tonight Got some ready for delivery tomorrow though. Amongst the batch will be a couple of bottles of my new favourite, Innis & Gunn Oak Aged Beer. Delicious &, at 6.6%, you don't need many!
Current favourites Wychwood's Wychcraft and Beewyched Also have some Jenning's Cumberland Ale and Well's Bombadier
Quite sweet But then most of the stronger beers tend to be. Not too bitter & almost got a kind of "toffee" taste to it.
To be honest With it being so strong, I usually save it til last so it doesn't overpower the other beers. It may well be that the flavours from the other beer bury the vanilla flavour leaving only the toffee that I can pick out.
Pity the bottles smaller than most though But quality over quantity I suppose.
All this talk about it - I'm gonna have to get some tomorrow now! (pint)
Just hope its for toasting an important victory rather than for drowning my sorrows.
