    RE: Tonight tunes

Having just returned from Lattitude (unfortunately early - damn that work thang!) I'm just downloading Elvis Perkins' "Ash Wednesday" after he blew away virtually everyone else at the festival. That will then get at least a couple of plays tonight. Soundtrack on the way back was the Hold Steady who were a very close second.

    Which Disc?

This set is one of the few I play on "shuffle". I find that the "themed" discs are a little difficult to listen to.

    Joy Division - Closer

quite apt for on here in recent months - not an album to make one euphoric but strangely I find it particularly theraputic when I'm down.

    "Atrocity Exhibition" – 6:06
    "Isolation" – 2:53
    "Passover" – 4:46
    "Colony" – 3:55
    "A Means to an End" – 4:07
    "Heart and Soul" – 5:51
    "Twenty Four Hours" – 4:26
    "The Eternal" – 6:07
    "Decades" – 6:09

Heart and Soul is a marvelous track. In fact its a marvelous album though not for the feint hearted.

    Watching telly

Just finished watching Friday Night Lights

    drink - Wentworth Bumble Beer

Just going to get in the bath though to thaw out from playing baseball in the piss pouring rain, and there was me thinking it was a summer sport....bloody scouse ***** who refused to call it off, and one particularly mouthy **** who I heard swear at the umpire on at least 4 occasions questioning calls - I'd have had him thrown out of the game.

    Great minds think alike, mate...

So how someone like you has wound up with the same beer as me tonight, I'll never know!!!

    :D

Bumble Beer and Oatmeal Stout for me...

Strangely enough I also have just returned from playing sports in the rain, 5-a-side, lost to a side we should've beat, absolutely soaked to the bone!!!

Speaking of telly I got the first series of The Thick Of It the other day: (Y)

Also the fifth series of Family Guy and the first of American Dad - first time I've ever watched either for a full episode - some of the most bizarre and amusing stuff I've watched in ages!!!
