What happens if the 'keeper gets sent off in a penalty shootout (e.g. for swearing at the ref etc)? Can they bring the substitute 'keeper on to replace an outfield player? Or do they have to take pens with no goalie in, or with an outfield player in goal? Well it's better than some of the stuff on here. Well OK perhaps not.
RE: cant believe they would take pens into an empty net Wouldnt want Paul Heckingbottom in your pen Line up then
Given that clubs sometimes bring on a sub in the last few minutes of extra time so they can take a pen (or take someone off who is crap!), then I don't think you can change theplayersduring the shootout, so it would have to be an outfield player.</p>
RE: Given that clubs sometimes bring on a sub in the last few The penalty takers have to be on the field at the final whistle,
