Back from the match... After believing/buying into all the hype about Davey's so called improved squad i can clearly say i have left oakwell tonite GUTTED!!!! I know we have not got Colace, & new signings Thompson or Hallfredsson yet but we were awful 2nite!!! Listened to praise or grumble & most tend to agree... very few positves taken from tonites play!!! 1 - the two strikers (one who is a donkey who'll neva score at this level & the other unfit but 100% committed) were playing on the midfielders toes & did not seem to play well at all together!!! 2 - the defence were very keen to 'bosh' the ball long to the strikers... Odjob winning some, but flicking on ALL the time!!! to NO-ONE!!! 3 - the wingers (JCR & Hamill) were non existent!!! Hamill is completely a different player, but i hope he'll settle in soon!!! JCR is a one trick ponney at the mo take u on on the outside n kick it against u 2 win a throw/corner!!! Seemed to have his head down all match & did not seem bothered??? 4 - tactically clueless throughout the squad!!! some decent performances individually, but all too fragmented & brief!!! I'm not sure we shud make the knee jerk reaction of sacking Davey just yet... But it does not look good!!! Any1 else's thoughts please!!!
