SO are you Tony then Or his Mam Or just a wind up merchant. = First post is to vote in a poll for Tony Adams -hmmm
Oh you do make me laugh. As for Tony Adams he was an excellent defender in his day so I wouldn't mind him as a defensive coach. I just don't want him as manager.
Tony Adams Yes .
Why not.
Who better to have as a manager.
Ex-Alco with first hand experience of the dangers of booze, no Howard back then.
He is an exellent coach. OK, he hasn't had a great deal of success as a manager but he hasn't had tens of millions to spend either.
His sides have always looked well coached and looked to know what their team role is.
He has played at the top level for England and so none of the players can think they are anything special when he is around.
He's the right age and has served his coaching apprenticeship. He has worked with some of the best managers in the game.
He knows how to address our weakness ie poor defence.
He will be able to attract players to the Club and has excellent contacts in the game.
Worth a punt IMHO.
But Jewell is the man if we can get him.

RE: Tony Adams Yes . You'll never see a young player come through the academy if they appoint Paul Jewell
RE: Tony Adams Yes . He'll not have millions to spend with us, and I can think of plenty of examples where good coaches have not made good managers with plenty of 'been there done that' playing experience have not turned into good managers. I'd steer away from Adams given the choice.
After a whole day of renewed hope and optimism... I'm now flat on my arse again thinking about Tony Adams.
No matter how I look at it I can't see his possible appointment as anything other than a disaster in waiting.
And I don't think we'd be waiting long.
