Hmmm think is time for MR T to depart now!!! He does not raise strong emotions in me as in some! Generally we have prospered under Tone!! His greatest failures have been an over emphasis on targets throughout the entirety of public affairs leading to so much waste of time and money, and also the Iraq issue and jumping into bed with Messers Bush and Cheney too easily!

Excuses can be made for some failings. A failing I cannot excuse and for which I think he should feel personal shame is the failure to speak out or take any stance in support of the Lebanese people who had such excessive force used against them last year by Israel!

    Shame

I think he's been the best PM in my lifetime (the last 40 years) and will leave a great legacy, the pinnacle of which to be seen earlier this week in Northern Ireland.

p.s. Mossman wanted me to pull you up on "riddens" so consider yourself pulled up!

You are probably right Eaststander!!! Generally a decent leader! Trouble is nobody is perfect and everybody makes mistakes! No such thing as superman! He has done decent job, just think could have done better and has let us all down at times! But not an easy task to lead a country.

    RE: Shame

Tosh. A compulsive liar, who deceived the Britsh populus. As for Northern Ireland, it should be mentioned that John Major was instrumental in getting that off the ground.

    Fair point...

but would he ever have had the balls to start releasing convicted terrorists in order to get the process moving?

    I doubt it...

    prospered?

You have got to be joking! How many people have died of MRSA due to Labours disastrous running of the NHS, How many kids are leaving school illiterate due to his Eduaction, education, education policies. How bout the mass overcrowding in the prisons thats not been attended to in 10 years in office, and lets not even mention a war that should have never happened.
Never mind at least your house values have increased. I assume thats what you mean by prosperous?
Oh have interest rates gone up again, never mind.

"How many people have died of MRSA due to Labours disastrous running of the NHS"

Load of B*ll*cks I'm afraid, people are dying from MRSA because of lazy Doctor's and lazy people and their attitude to antibiotics. Perhaps an over simplificzation, some hospitals have been dirty fair enough.

The exposure I've had to the NHS recently has restored my faith. I've had an elderley relative in hospital since Christmas Eve, she won't come out either, but has dignity, is pain free and is cared for in an amazing way. The four different wards she has been on have been spotless and surely only conmpromised by lazy members of the public who refuse to sanitise their hands.

NHS in crisis? Only in the minds of the Daily Mail

    Strictly speaking...

no, but something had to be done to move the process on. The way I see it is that people are not dying now.
