    I work on stoke, and the word is he wanted to leave last year but was persuaded to stay on to keep them up and get the increased premiership payout. He's got a disabled grand kid or something like that and really does want to retire for family reasons.

    What an absolute bloody farce. Kept Stoke in the Premiership all this time. So little loyalty in the game - I hope they get relegated at the first time of asking next season.

    got a stokey in the office and he said last week he was on his way. Didnt even go to the end of season do apparently.
