i can think of 10 foreign players on the books, although there is more if we are counting Wales, N. Ireland and ROI.
personally i think the number of foreign players who are not suited to the english game will be our downfall this season. We do have some good foreign players in the shape of Souza and Werling (well, so far so good), but some of them are not going to fit in, and will be way out of their depth (the goat farmer for one).

I agree - hard to integrate them all when they are playing - but some are going to be disappointed uprooting then sitting on the bench. It will be a good test of Davey's management skills.
If Davey had any management skills, he wouldn't have needed to bring 14 new players in, foreign or not.
they weren't his players, they were ritchies squad...davey has seen from last season that the squad wasnt good enough and done something about it...this seasons squad is far better quality and in depth than last season thats why hes got my backing
So if Alex Ferguson retires at the end of this season, do you think the new manager (who ever he might be) will dump the whole first team because "they aren't his players"? Grow up!
Not a betting man and I don't expect them to be in that position either come the end of the season. That wasn't the point. The point made, was that Davey changed a whole team because "They weren't his players". My point was that IMHO, that wasn't necessary and despite the ramblings of certain people on this board, there is no proof yet that the newcomers are any better than the ones they replaced.
I agree to an extent. I think there was some deadwood that needed shifting on but there were also some decent players amongst them which he should have kept to prevent this situation of having a whole new squad to gel together, namely Kay, Tonge, Hayes and Austin. All would have been useful squad players.
Yes they will! Well to a degree anyway. Every new manager feels the need to change players. They feel the need to justify themselves. Quite a few of Ferguson's players will be ousted. Look at Mclaren at England. He felt the need to make a statement and ousted Beckham from the squad. One match he's captain, the next not even in the squad never mind the first team. It's all about being seen to be doing something. I might be doing him a big injustice here because plenty of players of their own accord but I thought Hendrie shafted a decent squad when he came in. But that's another debate entirely.
Yes, I was amazed to learn that... ...managers sign players without even seeing them. Didn't Bruma say that he had never had a trial or owt before being signed? I know that it's not quite the same scenario but surely Souness demonstrated the need to trial the players first!
RE: Yes they will! Well to a degree anyway. How many of MU's first team squad do you think would get dumped, or how many new players do you think would be brought in.
Quite a few New manager. He'll be given plenty of money. The fans will want to see a bit of transfer action. Some players won't get on with the new manager. The manager will want players that fit into his specific style of play. Can't put an exact figure on it of course.
