Everyone should read 1984 at least once a year. Part of my job involves rewriting history, I am not Winston Smith.
RE: Really? I think that Big Brother the tv programme should be made much more like 1984 the book. So, Nikki, the latest evictee should now be brought in for questioning about why she wasn't a good citizen, be tortured for weeks on end until she breaks and conforms, be made to do a televised interview renouncing her old ways and saying how wonderful Big Brother is, then after 6 months when everyone has forgotten about her she will be gently removed from society and put to death quietly without any press coverage. Then all tv, web and press coverage will be edited to remove any reference to her. That way we will become a better society.
