Can only go off my tenure as a supporter 1. Gerry Taggart 2. Arjan De Zeeuw 3. Bobby Hassell 4. Steve Foster 5. Jason Shackell
Seeing as the top five strikers thread was for your own personal favourites, I'm listing my five favourite defenders. 1. Pat Howard 2. Mick McCarthy 3. Eric Winstanley 4. Ian Evans 5. Paul Futcher
Some additional names to add to already mentioned Carl Tiler Paul Mcgugan Mark Robinson Phil Chambers Joe Joyce

Gerry Taggart Mark Smith Steve Davis Paul Futcher Gary Fleming (didnt see McCarthy sadly) Favourite.... Paul McGugan.... just for nearly uprooting the goalposts every single warrm up when hitting the crossbar
Just talking about this the other day with my lad. For the record : 1st = Mick McCarthy Arjan DeZeeuw 3 Pat Howard 4 Gary Fleming 5 Steve Davies Mentions to Gerry Taggert, Ian Evans, Paul Futcher Eric Winstanley. Footy - its all abart opinions eh??
Arjan De Zeeuw, Darren Barnard, Adie Moses and Nicky Eaden would all be top four but would be impossible to put in order. Then in 5th, Steve Foster and Bobby Hassell would be fighting it out.
