Managing to get all out twice on a flat pitch against an average bowling attack, and with no wickets actually being down to decent bowling. Well, maybe Bell in the first innings. At a push.

World's number one test side. Oh yes.

    Flat? Flat

It was spinning in day 2 according to G.Swann, Herath took 6 wickets 2nd Innings, and 7 wickets first innings were took by spin in first. With 10 of ENG 20 wickets by spin too.

England are number one in the world and 2 lost series in 2/3 years isnt that if england do lose in SL. This is the best england attack in terms of bowling according to Sir Ian Botham and when batting clicks again they will be fine.
KP, Cook are closing in on been englands highest run scorer so shutup and give it a rest. Bet you arent moaning at end of summer when they beat WI and SA.c

Not mentioned cricket in the 2/3 years england havent lost, england fall slightly below there level and the home team nicks a slight win and hes on there backs.

He'll be back to not saying anything from 2013 to 2015/2016.

    Yeah, Booooooo. Gerroff, Gaz.

    H. Tyke, G. Swann and P. Gascoigne think you're a naysayer.

OK, I don't follow cricket much. Only really keep up to date with reports on Radio 5, but why is it (may just be my perception) that opposition teams seem to be able to put on quite a number of runs for their last few wickets against England, but England never seem to be able to do the same. Is it that our tail-end batters are useless, or is it that our bowlers are unable to close out an innings?

To be fair winning with home advantage on our pitches against teams including Windies, will not be as much of a success than if we'd won against Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

To be the worlds best you have to beat teams in their own back yards. England have failed to do his.

And if you honestly think the games v SA will be walkovers you are sadly mistaken.

    Thats not true EastStander.

England score more than any other team at back end normally. Swann Broad Bresnan patel all can score runs.
England only have normally anderson who would be classed has a tailender but with them playing 2 spinners and patel they've picked panesar who isn't a good batter either.

Not strictly true. The brilliant Aussies of the 90s and early noughties never won in India. They were still the best in the world, unquestionably.
