With the summer comings and goings just about to begin and speculation on who's going where. I'm quietly confident we will be above Leeds Wednesday and donny next season.......

Wednesday are on the verge of selling us a great striker who will not only link our attack and midfield but score a few goals and do the graft up top and no doubt assist 10-12 goals next season. Likely replacements are being touted with Kevin Davies looking favourite means its looking like another season of hoofball at swillsbrough. Not to mention the loss of around 5 million a year meaning no big signing to help push on.

Donny will be the same as last time they came up all talk and no action I'm sure and will be almost certain for relegation.

And Leeds have signed matt smith from Oldham so far which shows how much the new investors are looking to put in. Another season of bleating how good they are and what they won 40 years ago looks on the cards.

Though I'm not saying we will be up in the play offs all season. If you look at our competitors they all seem to be treading water at this level due to finance and past glories putting pressure on their already over stretched budgets and restless supporters.

We're a club galvanised by off field activity, a new manager and a squad willing to give everything for the cause. Get cranie signed and a few decent additions who want to play for the club and aren't just content on high wages and Mediocre performances and the future is shining brighter than it has in a long time.

in the Championship, Leeds I'm afraid.

I think they've made a very good appointment as manager.

I also think this season that we will do very well for the same reason.

As there is a fan of every Yorkshire club at work in the chmpionship not Including Boro we are having a mini league competition with winner takes all and I must admit I am very confident of a prize.

Because of the apparently derisory offers made to Hassell and Steele I'd say we have a VERY poor defence for next season unless we start spending some cash.

    Alnwick

    Wiseman - Cranie - McNulty - Kennedy

They'll have to add an extra digit into the goals against column for us

Its a mini league with just th results of the games against Yorkshire sides that why I'm confident.doesn't matter if Leeds win the league they could still be the fall guys of the Yorkshire clubs

Looks good to me apart from Golbourne at left back probably.

Bet there on more than most people in Barnsley get.

Tha what?! If Mcnulty and Alnwick make up 2/5 of our defence next season then it's not going to be pretty.

    I'd be happy with that.

A fit Mcnulty (not been for 12 months) would be very welcome. Him and Cranie, yes with Ben in goal.

    Like it.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Even if it is very misguided.

Ben Alnwick isn't even our second best keeper and McNulty isn't even our second best Jim
