If anybody was in any doubt about the Conservatives' attitude to the NHS the reappointment of Hunt gives a clear two-fingered signal to the doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other committed workers in our national health system. This low, mean-spirited individual has sown division among the medical profession. His conduct of the junior doctors' dispute was shameful, and his fantasist aspiration to move the NHS to a 7 day service without additional resources to an already struggling organisation belie his penchant for privatisation. This approach failed spectacularly in the case of G4S's bungled attempt to provide the security for the 2012 London Olympics. His dealings over the Murdoch (News Corporation) attempt to take over BSkyB were the subject of suspicion. Hunt was prepared to approve the bid until the phone hacking scandal caused Murdoch to abandon the bid. His dismal record of engineering discord amongst the medical profession and, notwithstanding that, his reappointment by May further call into question the prime minister's judgement, as if that were needed. And Corbyn is not fit to be prime minister?
May appears to be going for the keeping friends close and enemies closer. Perhaps by giving all the "more famous" Tories roles in the cabinet she might think it will stop them toppling her this week.
Agree Scoff. If she had got her landslide Hammond, Hunt, Greening and possibly Boris would all have been ousted. She couldn't make many changes because some Ministers lost their seats (Rudd only just scraped in.) The 1922 Committee chair will have warned everyone that now is not the time for change. They will have been urged to show show their loyalty and postpone any leadership challenge. As I said in a previous post last thing they dare risk is another election cos with a Jeremy seemingly having galvanising the Labour Party chances are they could lose.
The powers that be, whether they are red or blue have been trying to systematically destroy the NHS since its inception. Too much money being pumped into the parties by big businesses with a lot to gain financially from its privatisation unfortunately.

Look. The people. Made their choice. This time lady year it's ad simple as that The democratic process gave the power to the extreme right of the tory party
As some have commented it was the Labour Party who fully took on board the dream that PFI's might bring to make up for the lack of money in what was seen as a gap in Public sector finances. We are now unfortunately saddled with unsustainable costs to operate not only the NHS but Schools and Street Lighting where Companies like Balfour Beatty and Amey etc hold the whip hand. Yes they pumped in millions at the start but over the possible twenty years or so life of the contract they start to claw that money back so at the end of the contract they are well in the black. It's a legacy that will blight us for years to come and one sadly that's been created and should be shared by both Conservative and Labour Governments alike.
Just seen this article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-40248366 Since the Brexit vote EU nurse applications have fallen 96% and we are 40,000 nurses short of what is currently needed, with one in nine posts vacant.
I said previously referendum would kill the NHS as they would suffer recruitment issues And that was an aim of Farge as he would use it as an excuse to champion privatisation.
