Ok, so the ref was *****. But that's no reason for us to constantly go lunging in. Every single game we give away a multitude of free kicks in dangerous positions and it's costing us big time. We wouldn't continue to concede from set pieces if we didn't give away so many ******* free kicks in the first place. PS Grant McCann is ****.
Is it now 13 of the last 14 goals from set pieces. Says it all really doesnt it, it's not like Kettle has been in charge every week. Take today for example, Souza may or may not have fouled for the penalty but that was the 4th or 5th time he'd dove in in the penalty area and he did it another 5 or 6 after the penalty but just didnt get the man (or ball in one or two cases). Foster for the first booking might say he was hard done to or never touched him but why dive in from that position anyway? We had cover so there was no need to try a lunge form behind. Don't dive in and the ref cant be quick to give a foul against you.
He wasn't diving in in the box on most of those occasions, he was sliding to try and block the cross and was a considerable distance away from the man.
The yellow cards are mounting up, suspensions, injuries, and players running amok with needless fouls. Time Davey put the boot in, and fined the players involved. Other wise we could be at the wrong end of the table come April. The ref was w*nk though. McCann and Togwell out of their depth, i think Davey knows this and will find replacments before much longer. I thought we played really well and deserved the three points, but the needless fouling has to stop. Macken was great.
I totally agree but when I mentioned this on here yesterday I got told there wasn't a problem with discipline and that we are now a team with bottle.
i agree to a point, but look at some of the challenges stoke, and other teams have got away with........thats what gets me! or perhaps ours boys dont dive enough (a la fuller)
