What the ****?? Our licence fee is paying for this, is the best the Beeb can come up with? Hammond's sold himself out an'all. Utter sh!te!
Agreed. Bobbins. Just a vehicle (no pun intended) for Hammond to justify his £££'s. We are, however, bringing you the Milan derby LIVE next Sunday. BBC3, unfortunately, but the Antiques Roadshow audience would skin us alive if we shifted that.
sorry but wheres the wow factor? BBC3 it might as well be BBC 23 for all the veiwers that channel gets.
Agreed. But hopefully having things like the Milan derby live will pull in more punters. Of course nobody will watch if there's nowt on there!! Might be a one-off for all I know, but I thought having Inter v AC Milan live was a pretty decent shout.
it will drag a few in due to the beckham factor admittedly but it will be a long drawn out half time listening to gary, allen and lawro sharing their indepth knowledge of the italian game in their typically passion filled demenor.
Saturday evening family fluff it may be, but at least they don't extort money out of the gullible with promises of "vote to keep your favourite in". It's for kids, really. A chance to see preening adults fall on their arses.
some pundits who have a bit of shelf life left who haven't fallen to beliving their own hype and have some knowledge of the italian game, perhaps having played there. I would hazard a guess that there are posters on this BBS with a bigger knowledge and understanding of the italian game than the two bores.
Is it a one-off or have BBC got the rights to the Italian league? If so will it just be the Beckham show? I don't understand the argument of "what's point it being on BBC3, nobody watches that!" - most households now get digital TV so can receive BBC3, so what difference should it make if it's BBC1 or 3, same people that don't watch a comedy on BBC2 but wait til it's on 1......strange!
I doubt they'll have Hansen and Shearer on. It'll be hosted by him that did Superbowl last week and a couple of other pundits.
Just a one-off, unfortunately, although Serie A is no great shakes these days. And yes, it's the Beckham factor - doubt we'd be anywhere near it if he wasn't there.
I sincerely doubt your last statement, but you're right, they could have freshened up the sofa for this one-off. For the record, it's Hansen and hopefully Paul Ince.
I was watching Roma v someone else over here earlier and the standard of the teams outside the Europack is somewhere between Championship and L1. The passing and control was terrible. Makes you wonder if Kaka bottled it, Lee Trundle style..
one of the greatest gifts of the modern age sky+ box, tape everything and never watch pundits waffle or crap adverts ever again
