As humiliating a defeat as I've witnessed. At this moment in time, I can't see us being able to recover from that and I believe we'll be relegated. The injuries we're picking up and now two totally unnecessary suspensions (thanks to the irresponsibility of Dawson & Kennedy) mean we simply don't have the players available to turn this round.
It wouldn't have been so bad if we only lost 1-0. It wouldn't have been so bad if everyone else hadn't won. It wouldn't have been so bad if we were still out of the relegation zone. It wouldn't have been so bad if we hadn't picked up two 3 match suspensions. It wouldn't have been so bad if we hadn't picked up injuries to key players. It wouldn't have been so bad of we had a large squad with able replacements. It wouldn't have been so bad if we had time to recover before a must win game. Worst match ever.
I think we should be using you to do the team talks for the remaining games of the season. Mr Motivator.
Agree. I'm usually the most optimistic fan around but don't think there's a way back from that. Confidence has been destroyed, and think today Charlton have ended our season. I'm gutted and upset after that. No left back, no midfield and all the good work getting our goal difference back up gone. Humiliating.
We simply don't have enough bodies available, mate. These lads have given everything they've got for the cause. Unfortunately, we don't have the numbers to freshen things up, cover for injuries, suspensions and loss of form.
looks like some of the young uns are gonna have to step up to the plate "cometh the hour, cometh the man " as it were. If we do go on that road I so hope the fans get behind them, as it could ruin a kids future.
The club needs the fans on Tuesday. I'm hurting now but come tues we need to back them in numbers and with noise.
Re: looks like some of the young uns are gonna have to step up to the plate After two negative away performances where we were lucky to come away with a couple of points I expected more today. I didn't expect Dagnall as lone striker up against a couple of big strong centre halfs. Because of the negativity in our two away performances it looked today like the players had forgot how to play positively.
