While it may be viewed as a great comeback by some, this is largely due to a Spurs player crashing to the floor in apparent agony after being tapped on the head by an opposition player and the commentators say he is totally right to do this. The game has been full of diving, play acting, backchatting and arguing with the referee and contesting every decision. And the majority of the players out there will earn more this week than the average person earns in a year.

I'm not a fan of Rugby Union, but the decision of the French to drop a player this weekend for sarcastically clapping the referee is looking more and more refreshing after what the Premier League teams have served up this week.

Agreed. But had the Dnipro player fallen to the floor when Vertonghen barged into him he'd have been a cheating Johhny Foreigner.

Increasingly disillusioned with modern football, its cheating and ridiculous wages in particular.

You've highlighted one incident by a Spurs player, Dnipro have reaped what they have sown tonight. I'm not particularly jingoistic so I don't think I'm biased, but from one of the camera angles Vertongen's (sp) head moves as he is butted by the Dnipro player. It's a sending off to me.

You're point regarding the lack of respect to referees is bang on by the way. I'd like that to be sorted out.
