... no doubt you're hurting, hope this tale will raise your spirirt a little. Was talking to a mate from my golf club today. Basically, his kid was a mascot at the game last week against Barnsley. Don't get me wrong, the nipper had a great time but his dad was telling me what you'd done for your mascot (sure he said plural tbh) & think he was a tad jealous. Apparently, amongst other treats, they were taken into the dressing for the team talk and given match-worn shirts afterwards. Think that's a great touch personally. He was also saying how good Flitcroft was, thorougly professional yet still had time for everyone - my mate included. Right & proper imo, hats off :thumbsupsmiley:
That was my mate Tim's kids. He posted photos on facebook and it did look like the best day out at footy you could imagine. Saying that, Tim could blag for England. We met Jon Greening on the train station at Peterborough and he had his boots off him, seriously. It wouldn't have surprised me if he'd come back part owner of the football club the way you lot carry on!!
