How much do you usually get fined for first offence on not displaying tax, and having an expired MOT?

    Just wondering like.

I mean for not displaying a valid tax disc, as opposed to not having it at all.

Not displaying a valid tax disk - maximum fine is £200 but usually you get a fixed penalty of £60
For the expired MOT again its usually £60 fixed penalty but courts can fine up to £1000 if they think there are good reasons

Depending how ****tish they are they could push for no insurance as the out of mot will invalidate most policies.

From personal experience I once got caught by 2 sexy coppers on horse back in cudworth, tax disc run out by about 10 days, i said I'd totally forgot and would do it the following morning, to my amazement she said 'well make sure you do'

    A reckon she fancied me

Since then I've been told that there is a little bit of lenience as long as its a genuine mistake that you've forgot and you that you don't look like a drug riddled, pissed up, total waste of space driving a shaged out rust heap of a banger

My tax disc used to run over by a month every year, never got anything. Then l got a diesel for £30 tax a year, I can afford to tax this on time.

    Don't you live in Glasgow?

Just displaying a tax disc, expired or not, qualifies you for a £500 bonus I think

I believe in fairies, the Easter bunny, and Keith Hill.
