Dodgy reporting there dragon. He wasn't parked outside the funeral parlour, he was parked on a back street across the main road and round the corner from the funeral parlour which is clearly signposted as residents only. Directly outside the funeral parlour is a large parking area that anyone can use, directly to the side of it is a carpark (private) and the funeral parlour itself even has its own driveway and parking area.

Yes he may have been helping the funeral service but there is no way that a traffic warden working a few streets from the funeral parlour would know that the unmarked limo parked in a residents bay was actually helping load a hearse a few streets away so he hasn't been inconsiderate, he's just done his job and it sounds like the council have been very accommodating in basically saying that the fine will get cancelled.

In Lincoln so say no more. I watched a documentary about traffic wardens in Lincoln and this doesn't surprise me at all.

I imagine the official line will be that the traffic warden has been given further training.

A little bit of common sense would have helped in this situation.

It has though hasn't it? The council has said that they will cancel the fine when they get the appeal. Honestly the place he parked isn't anywhere near the funeral home. If I saw a limo there is assume it was at a house or something not at a funeral parlour a few streets away

Yes common sense has prevailed in the end. I was referring to the incident itself.

I once got a ticket in Morissons carpark on CHRISTMAS EVE at nearly 5'oclock!!! You'll have seen the gormless looking tit patrolling the streets.....I'd just got back to the car as he was gleefully issuing the ticket.....obviously I issued a few expletives myself.....something in the lines of 'you heartless ****er' and possibly a few more! I'd been in Morrisons literally 5 minutes, anyhow in the week between Christmas and new year I went to the council office on Regent Street and challenged this act of sheer nastiness....to my surprise they quashed the ticket which was very good of them!!

I appreciate they have a job to do but there's too many who think they are a total cut above the general public
