I think it might be cheaper still if you buy two singles - ie one Sheffield-Cardiff, and another one Cardiff-Sheffield.

I'm sure someone told me that the other day.

£55 direct from Barnsley to Cardiff run BFC in conjunction with Star. I think I read somewhere that it set off at 10:00-ish and arrived at 1:00 although I can't remember where.

From What I know it sets off at 7.00 ish, due to get in about 1.00pm, and sets off back at 7.00pm (to account for possible extra time, penalties and celebrating!) :)

    What do you mean?

If you mean picking the ticket up then they are going to sit a caravan on the Oakwell car park on Thursday and Friday - everyone gets a letter beforehand confirming their purchase and you pop down to the caravan and pick up your tickets.

Alternatively, I think you can pick them up directly from the train station before it sets off on Saturday. So it shouldn't be a problem.
