Trains between Barnsley and Leeds disrupted

    Just a heads up as a friend has been caught up in delays …..

    Some issue at Darton with a possible sinkhole near the track.

    Trains delayed/ cancelled or have bus replacement service.

    If you have plans to use that line tomorrow might be worth checking as it doesn’t sound like it will get resolved very quickly. Some info on Northern Assist on Twitter.

    We had to turn around yesterday afternoon after leaving Wakefield, diverted around Goldthorpe to meadowhall then catch a separate train to Barnsley. Sinkhole around Darton we were told bt inspector on train.
