    Internet, smart phones, iPads, tablets, email.............. billions of £'s changing hands, covered nearly 24/7 on a dedicated live SS channel, private jets flying players and agents all over the world! Then.......

    It all relies on an ancient 80's piece of equipment. Hope Bens been darn t'Staples and stocked up on toner cartridges and white A4! If not at least got some on loan from WH Smiths

    If it's Man U you are referring to I would think it was probably caused by the clocks not been put right since the fergi era.

    It's to do with legal security. Fax is one sender, one receiver. Emails etc can go to multiple data points and easily hacked. A fax is the only legal acceptable alternative to wet signature.

    Just because technology is old doesn't make it obsolete. We still use a telephone after all....

    There are other ways to sign a contract. Sign and then scan across to them, or use a digital signature tool. Both acceptable forms.

    I agree, although I believe the Electonic Signature from the likes of Adobe, is still not legally acceptable in many countries.
