If the Edwards rumour is true I would be delighted: Carlos Edwards to Barnsley for a record fee of £2m. Jamie Cureton will be one of two Strikers brought into the club as he is hitting form at just the right time and Norwich will be securing the permanent signing of Reading's Leroy Lita. The fee for Cureton is thought to be in the region of £500.000 – £750.000. The other striker is thought to be Aaron Mclean from Posh or David Connolly from Sunderland. Davey is also looking out for a left sided defender to help a possible push for the Play–Offs. Heinz Muller is unfortunately going to be on his way to Portsmouth as David James will be moving to Tottenham, the fee is thought to be around the £3m mark.
Same here but i think it would be highly unlikely. Also i've seen the Muller to Pompey rumour about 15 times now; anyone if theres any truth in that?
no club will pay a penny over the £1 million pound release clause in mullers contract, unless it becomes a bidding war.
Even if it becomes a bidding war it makes no difference because of the clause. I'd not want Cureton for 500-750k either. I think that's far too much for him.
The Sunderland player rumoured .... is most likely to be David Healy. He has hardly figured for the Black Cats this season and there is a strong Preston link with Davey and Kidd.
there's a post further down saying muller's off to spurs for $3m. funny, think i've also read somewhere that paddy kenny's off to spurs too. with muller, james & kenny they'll have some pretty decent keepers at white hart lane. don't ya just love this time o' year.
We spent 400k on Mostto so say 500k for Cureton isn't a bad deal. They have the same amount of goals.
We shouldn't have spent 400K on Mostto though mate. I'd say for someone well into his 30s, out of contract end of the season, not wanted by his club and with two goals in nine months is too much. Around 250-300K would be enough i'd think.
I'm just glad to see a natural goalscorer at the club. If we can get rid of Oddjob and Mostto and keep Cureton and someone else I will be very happy.

I'd love it if we signed Healy. Think Chopra wants to stay at Cardiff. Also agree with the above post that 500k-750k is a bit much for Cureton. I hope we do sign him, but considering his age thats a bit much. Roll on January.
