    I did wonder

...when it became apparent we have already agreed a fee for Grant McCann, who said from the outset that he was out of position wide left and saw himself more as the central playmaker. It set alarm bells ringing that it was paving the way for Howard's departure. So I would not be in the least surprised.

    Very Worrying

myself and others have been talking about the possibility of his transfer for a long while. Without him we will be nowhere near as good an attacking force.

I might be talking out of turn here

but i think he is a bit too gung ho andcommits himself far too often, leaving us exposed to the counter attack. We seem to concede fewer goals when he's not playing.

Good player who would definately be missed. Last year of contract ... if there's a fee and we can't/wont meet any wage demands than best that we take the fee and re-group.

Maybe the so called 'war-chest' is based on selling players

If you read todays Sun, that Wednesday centre half (boghanera?) is worth a million ponds, which means Hassell is worth at least the same, on top of that half a million for Howard and 250k for Macca.

If Patrick puts half a million of his own in thats over 2 million on new player to keep us in this division

Although that is a bad point there could be a lot more wrong with a player than being two attacking. I just feel that he orchestrates our attacks and has that touch of skill and class thats lacking in the rest of our team. Would be very sorely missed.

You'll not get half a mil for a player out of contract in June Loko ... mebbe 100k if that. I'd love to be wrong on that though!

did we seem less attacking against burnley??

or did we let the forwards and the wingers do their job whilst letting togwell and mccann hold the midfield solid??? pesonally i'd prefer two ball winning players in the middle who play it simple and let the others do the attacking

but against burnley in the second half

we resorted to just hitting the long ball over the top because both our central midfield players were sat so deep. We need somebody a between the likes of togwell and the attack so that we can get the ball along the ground because unfortunatly none of our strikers are any good in the air
