The transfer window slams shut tonight and Johnson has been quick to dash any hopes of the club signing any new players before the deadline: “We’ll have to see, but I’m pretty much going to write that one off,” admitted Johnson. http://m.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/barnsley/barnsley-need-leaders-says-boss-johnson-1-7436947
It was a weird part of his after match interview he was taking about deadline day but then I think they reference to writing it off was in terms of our performance on sat almost like he swapped what he was taking about mid-sentence. I'm probably wrong though like I am 99% of the time if you ask the wife. From something I read earlier I don't think we will be spending any money on a player today though, free transfer might be the only solution.
Knowing we need a striker, i dont know why we havent at least looked at getting Jackson in on a short term deal until January.
Season over in terms of any play off push if we don't bring a striker or two and a left back in today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'll go even further and say if we dont sign a left back today, come November, given what Patrick said at the recent fans meeting regarding last manager he'll appoint, it'll be Ben's turn to choose one. All that matters in football is results. And a manager is only as good as the players he signs. So far, our summer recruitment has been chaotic, unbalanced and disappointing.
