have you been to the little one in penistone next to the white heart, usually go there but its always shut when i get home from work? presume the station road one is better as its the best in the galaxy?
aye its great , do their chips in beef dripping although working in Leeds makes it difficult to get there as they shut at 7. I shall give that Dodeth one a go.
Used to live in Penistone But never found that place open. The Gate in in Dodworth is also not bad but not as good as the Station Road one. The Station Road chippy also has a major advantage in that there is a law that allows you to double or treble park, with or without lights, even at 45 degrees across the road so you are blocking all traffic, provided you are buying fish and chips. This loophole in the law was previously only applicable to parents picking up their kids from school, but has recently been extended to the Station Road chippy.
RE: Station Road Very nice indeed but Spring Grove over my way in Kirkburton still wins. Hollowgate in the centre of Holmfirth is another favourite.
