On Sat 23 December at Venue 23 Wakefield. It’s a tribute band but perhaps worth a look. Not sure what Hooky will think but I’ll be there
Can't think owt really mate. I genuinly know next to nothing about them. But have heard of em. And the song, love will tear us apart. (Had to look that up tbh) I've not got any headline acts lined up. But will be visiting Birdwell hopefully in the near future. To say I enjoyed J36 is an understatement. (Northern soul, and never thought I could enjoy that genre. On in early november) when we hired em for our presentation evening. Was surprised a good friend (ex work mate) played the keys. Sax player is one of our committees mrs. They are on next month. Northern soul fans check em out. You will not be disappointed.. But one I'm looking forward to most are Olivers Army. (their new name) Mostly ex ODS. (Oliver Dawsons Saxon) Late December. Brilliant band. Of that I'm pretty sure even not seeing em in their new name. Brian Shaunessy (seventh son) one of the best frontmen around.
Might give them a go - seen Pete Hook and the light loads of time and New Order a few - Joy Division are my favourite band
Me too and I’m sure they won’t be a patch on the Light or New Order but it’s only a tenner and fairly local
An article in the Chronicle today saying Paul Quinn from Saxon playing as a special guest with Graham Olivers Army.
This tribute band have been going quite a while and has members who have previously been in quite well known groups ie Killing Joke.
Was meaning to go see them this year but had a baby when they were touring. We're they worth the ticket price?
