What exactly have the club done wrong? They responded to a letter written by a member of this board. If they hadnt replied they would have taken some stick, because of the content of the reply it seems they are taking some stick.

The club cant win. Lets concentrate on the football side.

Like you I don't see the fuss

Somebody who worked for a news agent leaked info before it should have been in the public domain, now no matter what people think as to whether that was serious as they were only football fixtures what it could do was damage the reputation of the news agency as to whether they could be trusted.

I wonder if you'd see the fuss

If someone traced your IP and informed your employer how long you spend on this message board during working hours?

How could it damage the reputation of the news agency if no one knew it was from that news agency and it was only posted on a bulletin board read by at best 100 people or so. The fact is it did damage the reputation of that news agency because someone grassed up the journalist and the news agency to the football league.

But that cannot be the fault of BFC can it?

    Why the f*ck

Would someone want to grass up a Barnsley supporter? Why? Come on, why? How had he hurt them? How? And we're not just talking about any Barnsley supporter, we're talking about a guy who had changed his name to Save Barnsley FC in a bid to help save the club he loves during its time of crisis. If he hadn't been grassed up no one would have been any the wiser and no one would have been hurt in the slightest.

Its the fault of an employer of barnsley fc

As he decided to take it upon himself to report a fellow barnsley fan for something so minor, and therefore costing that barnsley fan his job. By releasing the fixtures early did Barnsley football club lose any income or potential income? I bet they didnt, in fact I bet this incident didn't effect barnsley fc in any way what so ever

As a company they should take the blame for a member of there commercial team (or whatever his job is) making a bad public relations decision for one, and a bad moral decision for two. Was any action taken against R**boy after this event?

    I doubt it...

he's still there. He's allowed to use club publicatios to attack a small section of supporters.

He's also permitted to correct inaccuracies on here in the worse kind of tone and in a negative way.

He must hate the BBS. Perhaps beacuse it's more used than the clubs own feeble, now defunct board...

    But you used to

However you look at it mate, what kind of person does that? Would you be grassing people up for simply doing what he did? Particularly if that person was one of your customers? I don't claim to know you very well, but I've got a reasonable idea of what kind of person you are, so I already know the answer to that question. You wouldn't.

It depeneds when the incident occured. If it was before the current regime then they should not be blamed.
