Good result today, backs to wall in first half, Hull probably should've gone in winning but second half thought we were well on top. Good to see flitcroft give fans a clap after game.

Wins breed confidence. So may it continue

that just about summed it up today..

we definately need to get that defence sorted if we are going to stay up,looked a bit dodgey during the first half.but well done to the lads during the second half.

I thought the defence looked ok-ish, to be fair...

Steele, 8: did everything he needed to
Golbourne, 7: lacked awareness, got caught out too many times for my liking
    Crainie, 8: solid job
    Kennedy, 8: solid job
Hassell, 9: showed for the 100th time, why he's a legend and needs to be part of our long term future. MOTM by a country mile
Wiseman, 6: nothing to do with bullying, he's just not good enough
Mellis, 6: sleepwalking for large chunks of the game, we can't afford to carry him
Etuhu, 7: thought he did a good job, considering he was out of position
Perkins, 7: not the same player without Dawson
Daggers, 8: for putting us through and attacking them whenever he got the chance
Marlon, 7: frustrating. shell of the player he was against leeds. played like a beast after getting kicked in the head
Stones, 7: only because of lack of playtime. the boy is class. just that
Foster, 7: did a job. was worried the sub was to defensive and just invited them on, at a time when we were well on top

Missed Dawson hugely. This is my biggest worry for the next 6-8 weeks. The obvious option to me is to put Hassell in there. I really don't think Mellis and Etuhu is the answer

wiseman not good enough and golbourne lacked awareness, for me the main two reasons why we looked dodgey at the back.

i can see flicker is trying to do a 'confidence' job on wiseman. and i would be over the moon if he turned things round. but when you compare his 70 minutes with stones' 20, the gulf in ability just shines like a lighthouse lamp

you are right, and thats why i still think we need to strengthen the defence,it was luck more than judgement that we came in 0-0 at halftime. Its nailed on we'll lose stones in the near future, even if he doesnt move to another club he'll get injured, all our best players always do,its the way our luck runs.

in the first half our defence looked sunday league standard. Nobody marked a man.

fortunately, hull were pretty gash. but under hill, the game would have been out of sight after 30 minutes. these are new days...

steele did well but i expected better. first half kicking was crap and didnt claim crosses. defence was rubbish marking wise and bobby luckily cleared up any problems.

funny you said that tomfum,I said exactly the same to the bloke sat at the side of me,in particular how we played a much better game in the second half,,there'd have been no change under hill.
