Anyone know who the trialist was for The Reds today? By all accounts he had a Stormer.

If this is the pool we're swimming in for potential signings, I may have to rethink my optimism for the coming season.

All clubs assess trialists during the close season.

Clearly, he's one being considered for the u21s.

The type of signing I like to be honest, as long as it's complimented with someone abit more seasoned.

You never know, could be a Vaz te mk2

Said it before some players just click at a club and in certain teams. Comments I've seen from people who went to the game said he looked decent. He won't cost anything to bring in and wages won't be high and Clarke knows him.
He will want to do well so if Clarke wants to give him a go then I am happy with that. Cosgrove is our main striker this year with back up from Jalo, Marsh and Watters. Any additions are a bonus, if we don't have have the money we can't bring in big earning players.
There shouldn't be any criticism for this trial and this player at this point.

Not really. Vaz Te actually had a career to resurrect.

I don't mind complimenting the squad with such players, ONCE we've built one with some proven talent in it. Sure, we've brought in Roberts and Hourihane, and I'm over the moon with these two. We MUST sign some proven L1 quality before the season starts, even if it means, and I'll whisper this but, spend some brass.

To give the kid some credit. He’s been on the books at West Ham and Man United. Scoring for fun at youth level 15 goals in 18 appearances in the prem.2 and 8 goals in 8 appearances at U18 level.

He’s only 21 and although his loans at Vale, Donny and Huddersfield weren’t exactly a success he was 19 at the time.

I don’t think he’ll make or break our season. But there’s potential there and he played well today by all accounts. No fee and a cheap wage seems worth a punt if you ask me.

Happy for a manager who has a good track record and knows this division to be suggesting players he thinks are capable of competing in it.

We absolutely don’t want a reputation as a fan base of slagging off and demoralising players before they have signed and played competitive games for us.

Don’t think it’s just BFC though. It’s all clubs in English football.

Sounds like he’s lost his way. Might be worth a punt.

Didn't Cole come for free, apparently he was pants too before he signed.

The other trialist that ended up signing for the U21s turned out for the first team in the last game....

Still could be for the U21s
